*Product Review* Covergirl TruNaked Palette in Roses

Covergirl TruNaked Palette in Roses

On CoverGirl's website, this is how they explain the palette...

Get the same look as a leading $50 eye shadow palette! TruNaked eyeshadow palettes feature universally flattering, neutral shades that are made to be blended together, so you can mix and match colors and always look flawless. Each eye shadow palette comes with 8 highly pigmented shades, and endless possibilities.

Here's my opinion...
I don't own the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, so I can't do the compare of these two items in that perspective. But I also have a YouTube channel and I watch a lot of ladies who own these palettes and swear by them. Now, as for the TruNaked Palettes, ha there is a lot to say, and not in a good way!

The Roses palette (being compared to the Naked 3), just on the number of shadows in each palette, UD has 12 and Covergirl has 8! I have swatched the shadows in the picture below.

Now in this picture here, you can only see 5 out of the 8 shadows. The first 3 are barely visible. Also 5 out of the 8 shadows also have glitter, and I'm not talking about finely milled glitter...it's so chunky that you will have fall out all through out the day. Even using Mac's Fixed Plus or a setting spray can hold this stuff on your eye lids! Speaking of wear time...ha what wear time. I tried this palette a total of 5 times before I said screw this. The wear time on me is about 2-4 hours on a good day.

First Picture to the right: As I was doing swatches for this blog..look how powdery they come out, and you couldn't even see them on my arm! That's just your dollars flying away into the trash can, and the palette is $11.99.

Second Picture on the left: If you look at the palette, you can see where I swatched the product and it stuck to the edges of the palette. I love the fact that they are buttery and soft, and some are pigmented, but if I can't use the product without wasting it, what's the point? Now I have another palette from Covergirl, from the same palette line and it's the TruNaked in Nudes. Now this is a palette, no fall out, pigmented, and impeccable wear time. I honestly would prefer other palettes from the drugstore, such as Maybelline The Blushed Nudes, LA Girl's Eyeshadow Palette in Nudes.
