Lorac Pro 1 & 2 Review

*Lorac Pro 1 & 2*
First off, eyeshadow palettes have come a long way in the past decade. Between no name shadows to naming shadows, and the Brand's them self. When I first heard of Lorac, I was like how did they come up with that name? I bought the palettes and I love them, but can you believe that it took me 3 months AFTER buying the palette to find out that the owner of the company was named Carol and Lorac was her named spelled backwards. Amazing! I haven't heard of another company doing that.

So onto the palettes!

*Lorac Pro 1*

With this palette, the top row are ALL Mattes and the bottom row are ALL shimmer. From the swatches you see above, the shimmers are more pigmented than the matte shades. The only shade I wasn't really happy with was Garnet. In the palette, it looks great, a redish shade with some golden shimmer, but when you apply it to your lid you only get glitter no pigment. Also major fall out with the shimmer shades. I noticed that the shadows are so buttery that they do create fall out. I suggest (if your using a shimmer shade), to tap your brush in easy and then spray some Mac Fix + or a setting spray, and you shouldn't have a problem from there.

Same with this palette, the top row are ALL Mattes and the bottom row are ALL shimmer. I love that this palette has more pops of color, and it's not as patchy as the Lorac Pro 1. The only shade in this palette that hardly showed up was Nectar. Since it's a skin tone shade, it is great for fair to light skin tones as a transition shade. I really like this palette, especially with the holidays coming up, you could to a number of looks for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanuka, & Christmas!!

If you could only purchase one palette, I would choose the Lorac Pro 2. I love the fact that all shades have pigment, unlike the first one where the mattes were patchy. You can also make day to night looks with this palette, also with more pops of color. You also need to look at the fact they are $44 a piece, and which one you would use the most!

Enjoy!
